Description
This is a copy of the Beatles White Album. It is being offered for auction primarily for the rare hype sticker attached to the front. The vinyl of the records is glossy but completely covered in light to moderate, and sometimes feelable, scuffs and scratches. The records play through without skipping with consistent sizzle, including tics, but with no skips. The labels are clean. The matrix number of side one is SWBO-1-101-A71. The matrix of side two is SWBO-2-101-A70. The matrix of side three is SWBO-3-101-A75. The matrix of side four is SWBO-4-101-A68#2. The cover is split at the top of both parts of the gatefold cover for about four inches and split at both parts of the bottom for one inch or less. The cover shows much wear with edgewear, corner wear, surface wear with scratches/impressions, staple holes, paper loss, writing, multiple creasing, rub wear, ring wear, and a one half inch tear on the back of the second half of the gatefold cover. There is writing in several places, including tracing the embossed Beatles and the eradication of what may have been a number in the bottom right corner of the front. There is also writing on both parts of the inside of the gatefold cover, including some blue ink on the faces of everyone but John. There is a one inch tear near the midpoint of the inside of the gatefold cover. The hype sticker itself has a piece missing on the right, a piece at the top left corner that is barely hanging on, almost to the point that I can't guarantee that it will be there when the item arrives, some lifting of the sticker on the left edge middle over an area of about one inch with a couple one eighth to one fourth inch tears, a bit of blue ink missing on the A of Beatles, some smudging or ghost imaging of the blue ink throughout, along with creasing, scuffing, bubbling, and impressions. All words on the sticker are present and are legible. It comes with two generic white inner sleeves. There is no poster and there are no pictures with this offering.
Once again, this auction is being offered, primarily for the rare hype sticker. The records played without any skips, but the vinyl is completely covered in scuffs and scratches and plays like it looks.
