The Beatles/Please Please Me/Parlophone PMC 1202 (1963) 1st pressing MONO UK LP in jacket with anti-static company (EMI) inner sleeve. Rock. This is the gold/black Parlophone issue pressed on the old stamper with inner rings around the spindle hole, matrix numbers XEX 421 IN/XEX 422 IN, and Dick James credits. VG-/VG (record, jacket) Record shows significant wear, as shown, but plays very well. It has occasional noise, periodic ticks, but generally thunders out of the grooves like so many of these original press monos do. (LISTEN-high quality mp3 provided, please allow time for loading) Labels are very clean. Jacket is generally clean and solid. PLEASE note that the back cover discoloration is much worse in the picture than the actual item. If you look at the song list photo at right, that is a much more accurate representation of the back cover than the full shot picture. Most of the wear on this jacket is along the record opening. There is some light finger fray at the edge and a peel up area (I have provided a close-up photo at right). All seams and spine are fully intact, and spine print copy is terrific. (I seldom use near mint or mint grading so take a look and a listen!)
