Description

This is only going to be up a week.  Owner is selling this album, for much less than paid. $775. Which after ebay and pay pal take their cut, seller only gets approx. $700. Owner needs to sell collection.
It is NEAR MINT and the only reason I say that,is it was put on table,to be certain it was lying flat ! Never played !
This exact album, sold for $1600. OVER THREE YEARS AGO.
Difficult to explain, the how and why,the French released Beatles No1 ( Please ,Please Me ) after the Les Beatles ,which was in fact " With the Beatles" their second album. This is a first pressing, albeit 1964. French released "Please ,Please Me" aka " Les Beatles No 1 " After " With the Beatles " aka " Les Beatles " I'm enclosing a few pix,of back cover. You'll see,the newspaper clipping. The Beatles had performed for two weeks in Paris at the L,Olympia in early January 1964.  You can read up on it. This record is another extremely rare Beatles owned by my neighbors. It appears to have never been played. ( This is in better condition, than the copy that sold for $1600.00 )  They own a few unplayed French first pressing,Beatles. The ONLY issue is this. On opening edge of cover,on back. Four small water stains. Its negligible. On this albums BACK COVER ONLY.  FLIPBACK COVER IS TOTALLY LAMINATED . Records and covers, were kept separate,no damage to inner sleeve or record. The front cover,as you can see is immaculate. Had it not been for these watermarks, cover too would be Near Mint. I'm grading record,as Near Mint,as it IS unplayed . I couldn't find a flaw and have not played it. JUST PUT ON TABLE TO BE CERTAIN OT WAS FLAT AS DAY OT WAS PRESSED. I'm showing an auction price from a three years ago. $1584. This is not that record,in fact, this one is in BETTER CONDITION !  That one was Excellent to EX plus. It had been played and apparently there were spindle / spider trails around spindle hole . Hence not near mint, but in 100 % sure ,it was very close  to near mint . Without question, that record that sold for $1584. Looked pristine in picture . The title of this record is " Les Beatles No 1 "  Odeon Orange label. BIEM. OSX 225-XAR 783-784  Review photos of close ups in respect to cover . It shows the printers name. The cover is much different than the UK,in that it is one piece,of totally laminated cardboard.  In the end,the only fault,is the water,at opening, and I might add,it's NOT overwhelming by a long shot. Pictures detail this.  Going to be listing a MINT Sgt Pepper stereo French album, with this style label,BIEM labels .  Also to be coming up,is a first French BIEM " White Album " also appears to be unplayed and is complete . Also French Abbey Road and Hey Jude, all mint condition ,first pressings on the Apple label. In closing . BEWARE OF ANY SELLER THAT SELLS FRENCH BEATLES ALBUMS ,TEFERRED TO AS " EXPORT PRESSINGS "  They are NOT first pressings ! They are all 1973 pressings, not even close to the originals ,on ODEON. If labels have PMC or PCS they are NOT original French pressings ! Everyone seems to be confused in respect to Beatles French Pressings. NONE that have "made in France " and also the " Export UK" are not close to first pressings.  They are 1973 pressings, for most part and DO NOT HAVE " BIEM" on labels Owner asked me to list this,at same price as one sold,in lesser condition,a couple of years ago. But will accept best, offer if reasonable . They are all reissues . What I will be posting are true NM-M first French pressings. $10.00 Shipping in USA ,that includes insurance ! lower 48 only . Shipping rest of world $15.00
