Description
The Beatles Album Please Please Me. This is an early mono pressing of The Beatles' first album. I believe it MAY be a third pressing but this hasn't been confirmed by an expert. It has the yellow block PARLOPHONE label, (not the earlier gold on black). The label does not have "Recording First Published 1963" or "Sold in the UK". It does have "The Parlophone Co UK" in the "rights" message around the circumference of the label. The vinyl is engraved on side 1: XEX 421 - 1N, with 2 on the left hand side of the runout and RP on the right. On side 2 it has XEX 422 -1N with 1 on the left and RG on the right of the runout.
I don't have an=y means of playing this record, but I have had it a long time and I know it used to play well. It has been carefully stored and the disc is flat, not warped. I have tried to photograph the worst marks on each side - the marks look bad but cannot really be felt.
The sleeve is not in good condition, having a number of areas of damage and extensive sellotaping. It has the Emitex protective inner sleeve and an outer plastic sleeve.
The above notes are observations I have made myself - they statements I have made about the labels and markings are correct but I do not claim that this is a third pressing - that is for the buyer to decide.
I will mail it protected by several layers of cardboard to try and ensure it travels safely. I will not accept returns.
