Beatles White Album UK First Issue with Rare ReVOLUTION Label Misprint - Serial No: 0534095
Record Collector Rating: Vinyl = Very Good, Cover = Excellent, Photo Inserts = Mint
PCS 7067/7068 Original UK First Issue 1968 on Apple Records
The record label on side 4 has a rare misprint where the track titles reads "ReVOLUTION 9" (small "e" - see photo). This error EMI corrected on later presses.
The matrix numbers are YEX-709-1, YEX-710-1, YEX-711-1 and YEX-712-1
Some of the mother stampers are difficult to read but look like UL, GGA, AA, AM
Main Sleeve: is in excellent condition with just a few small creases at the top where the records have been moved in and out and slight nick at top of back cover (see photo)
Inner Sleeves: Are the black originals and are in excellent condition.
Records: have a few surface scuffs and scratches but apart from the odd click and background crackle as expected for records of this age, the audio plays well. Crackle is obviously more noticeable on quieter tracks. The track "Long Long Long" has a noticeable click at the end of the track, "Julia" has a click for a few seconds mid-track, and "Dear Prudence" has a click for the first few bars.
The Poster: The original poster is in mint as new condition with no damage to be found.
The Photos: The original 4 photos of each Beatle are in amazing mint condition.
All my records on sale are from my personal collection that were originally purchased from new at record shops. I am not a dealer and do the best I can to accurately list items and tend to err on the cautious side with any ratings. I post all records in purpose-made reinforced record packaging.
I have used the record collectors grading system in rating the condition of this record described as follows:
Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc...
Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
Poor: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc.. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
Bad: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection fille
