Summary:
This is an ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING STEREO LP for the EARLY Beatles 1963 UK Parlophone album WITH THE BEATLES.
This RARE VARIANT with JOBETE publishing credit for the song MONEY, and YOU REALLY GOTTA HOLD ON ME on the record label and track listing to the reverse of the sleeve are RARELY SEEN, and adding to the RARITY of this pressing is the MIS-SPELLING of Dominion shown as DOMION Track 3 , Side 2 record label.
Album Description/Condition:
The HEAVYWEIGHT Vinyl LP is on the traditional Black and Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Parlophone Co Ltd’ label rim, ‘Recording First Published 1963’ and ‘Made in Gt Britain’ label text to both sides. Track 3, Side 2 lists as ‘You Really GOTTA Hold on Me’, on the record label and the reverse of the sleeve, instead of ‘You Really Got A Hold on Me’ plus MIS-SPELT Dominion shown as ‘DOMION’. Additionally on track 7, side 2 lists ‘JOBETE’ publishing credit for the track ‘MONEY’.
Both record labels are in excellent plus condition. An IMPRESSIVE set of record labels, with just few light centre spider trails, and slight wear to the spindle hole, more noticeable to the side 2 record label. The Silver printed text is UNFADED and the Yellow Parlophone Print and logo CLEAR and VIVID.
Side 1 matrix YEX 110-2 and Side 2: YEX 111-2.
Side 1 stampers: 3/GG and Side 2: 3/GM.
Both sides of the Heavyweight vinyl disc are in STRONGexcellent plus condition, bordering near mint. STUNNINGLY, Glossy, UNWORN vinyl surfaces to both sides, with no more than one or two very faint surface hairlines, which do not affect the sound quality. There are NO deep scratches or scuffs to either side.
Play Quality:
AWESOME play quality through ALL the tracks. An EXTREMELY; CLEAR, POWERFUL Early STEREO Sound – INCREDIBLE AUDIO with NO skips or clicks.
The album comes in an ORIGINAL Polylined ‘Use Emitex….’ Printed Inner Bag which is a RESPECTABLE example, NO handwriting, just a a small ½" tear to the top right hand corner, mild age toning, and inevitable light creasing.
……And is housed in an ORIGINAL, FIRST ISSUE, LAMINATED Garrod and Lofthouse, three flip back sleeve printed with a large ‘stereo’ type face to the top right hand corner of the front of the sleeve.
The sleeve is in RESPECTABLE excellent condition. A STRONG sleeve with a CLEAN Glossy front panel, only mild record indentation and minimal bruising to the top and bottom right hand corners. The reverse panel of the sleeve is STRONG and BRIGHT and CLEAN, with mild age toning to the opening edge. All three flip backs are UNDAMAGED. Edges and the spine edge are UNDAMAGED – the spine edge clearly reads ‘With The Beatles’.
STEREO versions of this EARLY ORIGINAL UK Beatles FIRST PRESSING are becoming INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT TO FIND. It was only the VERY FIRST PRESSINGS that included the ‘JOBETE’ Publishing Credit and ‘GOTTA’ and ‘DOMION’ references – A RARE UK Original Beatles album .
