UK 1965 *FACTORY SAMPLE* PRESSING 45

This unusual 1965 UK 1st pressing 45 is on the black & silver Parlophone label: R 5265

Side 1 bears a 100% & genuine 'Factory Sample - NOT FOR SALE' sticker

Both labels bear an unusual typeface/font not often seen on this 45.

The 'Sold in UK.. text & 'Parlophone Co...' rims are also present.

The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of side 1.

Housed in its original green & white Parlophone company cover.

Matrix numbers: 7XCE 18254-3 & 7XCE 18255-2

Stamper codes: 1,8/GRD & 1/GDG

CONDITION

Labels: VERY GOOD +

Both are clean & undamaged with just numerous spindle marks around each centre hole & a partially (barely visible) erased name in the centre of the side 2 label.

Visual: VERY GOOD +

Both playing surface are clean & unworn with just a handful of light surface marks visible in strong daylight & some insignificant wispy paper hairlines visible directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp.

Play: VERY GOOD +

Despite frequent play, both sides of this disc play without any significant deterioration to he sound quality. There is some light background on 'Yes It Is', but no clicks, pops or any other such audible distraction or wear.

Cover

VERY GOOD

General light creasing but no writing, tears or splits.
