**LABEL OMITS 'A DAY IN THE LIFE' TITLE**


This very rare 1969 UK variant omits 'A Day In The Life' credit from the side two label.


Technically this is a second mono pressing on the black & yellow Parlophone label PMC 7027
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text and 'Gramophone Co Ltd...' rims
There is no tax/price code visible on either label.
Housed in a fully laminated gatefold, internal flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' cover
Complete with the correct plain white inner & cut-outs (EX+)

Matrix numbers: XEX 637-1 & XEX 638-1
Stamper numbers: 3,8/MMH & 9?/MMM

Labels: EXCELLENT

Visual: VERY GOOD PLUS

The surfaces are very clean but do display a few surface marks, the occasional light scratch and some wispy sleeve removal hairlines under intense direct light. The thick vinyl disc lies 100% flat on the turntable with no dishing or warping.

Audio: VERY GOOD

Generally the sound is loud and clear with no crackle or groovewear/loud passage distortion
There is slight audible wear and tiny scratch which 'ticks' for 2 revs on 'She's Leaving Home', and another on 'Within Without You' which 'ticks' for 4 revs. Otherwise there are no other audible faults.


Cover: VERY GOOD PLUS

A strong and clean example showing light to moderate handling and storage wear.
The inside is perfect with no wear or marking and the rear is deep red with some minor ringwear and light marks.
The spine shows light wear but the laminate is intact and all the wording is clean and clear.
All seams strong and unsplit and there is no writing anywhere.
