Disc
Labels: EXCELLENT +
A clean & bright pair with a small number of well-aimed spindle trails around each unworn centre hole, indicating infrequent careful play.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Extremely clean playing surfaces which retain all of their deep-gloss shine where the only signs of wear are some harmless light inner-sleeve removal marks and a 3mm mark on track 2 of side 1. Even closer examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp adds no further blemishes or wear, just a sparkling rainbow shine. Both sides of this high-quality, heavy disc lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT
This fine sounding copy has been sparingly played on good-quality equipment and there is no trace of any groove/playwear distortion on any track - even on 'Michelle'. In fact, the only factor which prevents a higher EX+ grade are a handful of soft 'pops' on 'Norwegian Wood' caused by the aforementioned mark. Aside from that this is an extremely warm, clean & well balanced sounding copy which will not disappoint.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
An extremely fine example which has been carefully stored in clean, non-smoking conditions these past 47 years, and it shows. The front panel is richly coloured and retains all of its high-gloss laminate where the only signs of wear are a handful of tiny spine wrinkles. The corners are in good shape with no bumps or bruising and both opening edges are free from any significant signs of wear.
The exposed rear panel is pristine white & unblemished and all flipbacks are perfectly clean and are completely unworn.
There is a small 15mm crack in the laminate on the upper edge which can just be seen in the images above. The lower seam are spine are smooth, unstressed and unworn.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Some light age-toning and storage wrinkles but no writing, seam splits or tears.
