Description
THE BEATLES - 'RUBBER SOUL'
First issued in October 1969, the '1-EMI box' Parlophone label replaced the yellow & black design which had been employed since April 1963. All albums released with this label were cut from the same masters as the 1st pressings and in most cases retain the same matrices. Each was pressed on high-quality virgin vinyl and retain all of the warmth and flawless sound quality of the 1st pressings at a fraction of the cost, making them arguably the best value Beatles vinyl available.
This MINT/UNPLAYED copy of 'Rubber Soul' is on that same '1-EMI box' EMI/Parlophone label: PCS 3075
Matrix numbers: YEX 178-3 & YEX 179-3 (the same as the 1965 pressing)
Stamper codes: 3/OT & 2/MR
Vinyl weight: 136g
Housed in an immaculate and rare front laminated, tri-flipback 'ERNEST J. DAY' printed stereo cover.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.

Disc
Labels: MINT
A perfect pair with no spindle trails or wear to or around either centre hole.
Visual: MINT
Immaculate, deep-gloss playing surfaces which apart from a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp are 'as new'.
Sound quality: MINT
This copy shows no signs of having been played and the sound quality throughout is flawless.
Cover: NEAR MINT
A pristine example of this cover with a perfect front laminate with no scratching, wrinkles or wear of any kind. In fact, apart from a small bump to the upper left corner, this is how it left the shops 42 years ago. The rear panel is 'as new' and completely unblemished. Needless to say all flipbacks, seams and the spine are in perfect condition.
Inner-sleeve: NEAR MINT
Clean and flat with a few faint storage bends but little else to fault.
