THE BEATLES - 'RUBBER SOUL'
1968 UK 2nd PRESS *STEREO* LP
**SILVER FRONT COVER LOGO**
UK copies of the 'Rubber Soul' cover did not bear any 'Mono' or 'Stereo' cover logo.
However some examples bearing a 'silver' (or black) stereo front logo were produced in tiny quantites for export/experimental purposes only.
This rare 1968 UK 2nd stereo pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3075
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 1 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with 'silver' stereo logo in the upper right corner.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 178-3 & YEX 179-3
Stamper numbers: 2/GH & 2/GA
Cover: EXCELLENT MINUS
This rare example displays some light handling and storagewear but no major faults.
The front panel is very clean & glossy and bears just one signficant creases & a few 'thumbnails' towards the opening edge.
The corners have some light shelfwear and but opening edges are clean & sharp with no tears or feathering.
The rear panel is largely clean & white with just some minor storage/handling marks, but no writing or missing paper.
All flipbacks inplace and the spine is clean & fully worded.
Some hole wear and spindle marks but no writing or missing paper.
Visual: VERY GOOD PLUS
Clean & bright surfaces which bear an occaisional hairline/stylus scratch in daylight but no heavy marks or other significant signs of wear.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals further light hairlines & inner-sleeve removal marks but no major faults.
100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT
Despite frequent play, all tracks play cleanly & clearly without any groovewear distortion or backgroung noise/crackle.
Both run-ins and all bands play extremely quietly and without intereference.
There are no clicks, jumps or any other audible faults elsewhere.

This disc has been carefully audibly graded in its entirety on a Rega P9 deck fitted with a Shelter 901 cartridge.
