THE BEATLES - 'REVOLVER'
1966 UK 1st PRESS STEREO LP
**MISPRESSED FACTORY SAMPLE**
This rare & unusual copy of a 1966 1st stereo pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 7009
Both sides play in stereo but side 2 has a MONO label.
The side 1 stereo label carries a genuine pointed-ended 'Factory Sample' sticker.
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
The side 2 label has the incorrect 'Dr. Robert' spelling & a 'KT' tax/price code.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 605-1 & YEX 606-1

Bright & clean surfaces which retain their 'rainbow' gloss bearing just two fingernail scuffs (on side 2) & an occaisional light scratch.
Close inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals some minor bag-rash from inner-sleeve storage but no further significant wear.
Heavy, sharp-edged vinyl which lies 100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: VERY GOOD MINUS
Played many times and some light background is audible throughout, mostly on the quieter passages, but no significant groovewear distortion any track.
There are some occaisional light clicks a 1-groove repeat during 'Got To Get You Into My Life'.
There are no other major faults.
Cover: EXCELLENT MINUS
A clean & glossy front panel with some minor discolouration & a few light laminate wrinkles around the edges & a single small thumbnail crease.
The corners display minor shelfwear & minor bruising but the opening edges clean with no tears or feathering.
The rear panel is clean & black with no marks, rubbing or missing paper.
All flipbacks, spine & seams are intact, clean & undamaged.
All discs are carefully play graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck with an Ortofon Kontrapunkt 'A' cartridge.
