THE BEATLES - 'REVOLVER'
1966 UK 2nd PRESS MONO LP
**FACTORY SAMPLE**
This rare copy of a 1966 UK 2nd mono pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 7009
The side 1 label carries a genuine pointed-ended 'Factory Sample' sticker.
Both labels fatures a 'Roman' type font with the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
The side 2 label has the incorrect Dr. Robert' spelling.
Unusually for this title, an 'MT' tax/price code is visible on the side 2 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 606-2 & XEX 606-3

Visual: EXCELLENT
Extremely clean surfaces retaining their 'rainbow' gloss and bearing just a few small & light fingernail marks but no significant scratches or wear.
Close & careful inspection directly beaneath a halogen desk lamp reveals some faint, wispy paper hairlines but no further blemishes.
100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT PLUS
A carefully played copy with all tracks sounding clean & clear without any background crackle or groovewear distortion.
Even the delicate, easily damaged 'Eleanor Rigby' & 'Here There & Everywhere' play perfectly without any intereference.
Both run-ins and all bands play silently and there are no clicks, pops, jumps or repeats anywhere.
Cover: EXCELENT MINUS
A glossy, clean & unyellowed front panel with just a few light edge wrinkles but no 'thumbnails' or any other creasing.
The corners display some light bruising but both opening edges are clean and bear no significant wear either side.
The rear panel is clean with a few light creases towards the opening edge but no writing, marks or missing paper.
All flipbacks, spine & seams are intact, clean & undamaged.
All discs are carefully play graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck with an Ortofon Kontrapunkt 'A' cartridge.
