Summary:
GENUINE FACTORY SAMPLES of ANY of The Beatles ORIGINAL UK Albums are FEW AND FAR BETWEEN – in fact they RARELY come on to the open market. Only VERY VERY FEW were picked from the production line, affixed with the Factory Sample sticker, and then the album checked for quality review. We are, therefore, delighted to offer this VERY NICE example of one of the band’s most INFLUENTIAL and SOUGHT AFTER UK albums, ‘REVOLVER’ in RARE **MONO** Format.
Album Description/Condition:
Released by EMI/Parlophone UK in 1966, this ORIGINAL MONO FACTORY SAMPLE VINYL LP is on the traditional Black & Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd label’ rim, with ‘Sold in the UK….’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ printed to both labels. The ORIGINAL EMI, White with Red Print Pointed End, Factory Sample sticker is adhered to the Side 1 record label reading ‘FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE’.
Both sides of the Factory Sample Record Labels are in VERY NICE excellent condition, a CLEAN, BRIGHT Set of Record labels, NO fading to the bold Yellow Print or the Silver Printed text, just some centre spider trails to either side.
Side 1 matrix: XEX 605-2 and Side 2: XEX 606-3.
Side 1 stampers: 7/MR and Side 2: 1/GL.
There is an embossed KT tax/price code to the centre of the side 1 record label.
Both sides of the Factory Sample Vinyl Disc are in excellent condition. BRIGHT Vinyl showing only some light surface hairlines and a couple of light, non-sounding, surface scratches to both sides, but certainly NO deep scuffs or deep scratches.
Audio Quality:
Having carefully played the album, Both sides plays EXTREMELY WELL throughout ALL the tracks - A POWERFUL mono sound with NO clicks, NO skips, just mild background crackle between the tracks.
The Vinyl Disc comes in an ORIGINAL Plain White ‘Made in Gt Britain’ record bag, which is in Respectable condition, with a 2" split to one seam and a 4" split to the bottom seam.
The album is protected in an ORIGINAL First Issue Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Flip back Sleeve, which is in excellent minus condition. A STRONG, FIRM Sleeve, GLOSSY, CLEAN front panel - just some light corner bruises and age discoloration to the opening edge. The reverse of the sleeve is CLEAN, with just some light record indentation to the black areas, and age tanning to the opening edge. The three flipbacks are UNDAMAGED.
FACTORY SAMPLES of one of THE BEATLES most ICONIC UK Albums RARELY come up on the open market - in fact this is only the second time that we have offered one in the past 8 years.
