Description

I'm going to preface this by saying, there is NOT ONE DOCUMENTED PRESSING that has two different ridges on each side of Rubber Soul. Everyone that has been documented has the grooves ( large outer, and less enhanced inner groove ) on BOTH SIDES ! That in itself is extremely rare. This one only has the two grooves on one side.  Side two with MT tax code, only has the slight inner groove. ( Look closely around the number "2" on side two, that is where the circle goes through, very slight, but there and pressed by a different machine than side one ) If anyone has seen or has pictures of such labels as this, let me know . I'm posting one in similar condition, that sold a year and a half ago for $690. But it had the two grooves on both sides. However, side two is what makes this very, very rare. Meaning they must have pressed on two older machines . When first discovered,it was called a CBS pressing. Apparently, this was pressed by EMI on one ,more likely two of their older machines .  No one seems to have specifics, but as it does have EMI's matrices, mothers and stampers, you know it was pressed by EMI,in Hayes-Middlesex . It also boasts an MT tax code, which really predates the actually pressing. Apparently these machines had not been used since 1963 ( Jan-July ) An aside. Look at the font,on George Harrison's name. It actually reads "HARRLSON" as the lower case "i" is not defined . In other words,on side two it only has a less pronounced inner groove, and not the deep outer groove with the MT tax code. Not one archivist, could believe or understand this. That is what makes this an anomaly. Now the specifics . PMC 1267 ( only ever pressed in mono. No stereo pressings exist like this )  Matrices XEX -570-4-11-AGR side one. Matrices XEX -580-4-7-RPP side two. Has Emitex lined inner sleeve . But the cover is also rare. You would have to look very closely, and I'm NOT using this as a selling point. The lettering on front of cover, was not in alignment. You can see feint yellow, under some of the letters,in " Rubber Soul " I was in the fine art graphic trade for twenty years. That would have been pulled,as not usable .  Small detail, but if you buy this, check it out, next to another cover. Now,the all important condition. Condition means possibly as much as anything. Record is Excellent . Look at photos. Not " whited out " on spindle holes. Vinyl only has hairlines ,and appears to have been played very little. High gloss. Labels also Excellent. Refer to pictures. I play grade records on a very good system, and track at 1.7 grams. Plays flawlessly, with NO NOISE !  10/10 sound. No clicks ,pops, skips etc. quiet as can be,between tracks. Cover VG. You can see the bump,on left side, where album goes in,and a crease on flipbacks . No seam splits . Emitex inner VG+ If your a completist, with deep pockets, this is HANDS DOWN THE RAREST RUBBER SOUL UK MONO PRESSING. ( Going to be posting MINT French " Beatles No 1 " album. This is actually the French version of "Please Please Me" that's the last picture,on orange Odeon label. Looks unplayed ,and has a totally laminated flipback cover, both front and back laminated ) Shipping in lower 48 USA $4.00 Rest of world $14.00 ( don't see how to insure, overseas )

Jack asses at e bay, won't let me post correct photos . I've tried to delete three pictures, that don't really show well,or relate to the record . Is this because there is a bid ? If so,I'll have to pull the ad now.

Contact me,if you want more photos. I'm trying to end this ad,and post again, immediately ,with same text, but better pictures.
