Description

I am selling many BEATLES records from my collection, so please check my other auctions.

IN THIS AUCTION IS A RARE ONE:

· “PLEASE PLEASE ME” b/w “FROM ME TO YOU” by The Beatles

· This is a 7-inch, 45 RPM Single Record with the above songs, one on each side.

· This record is Vee Jay (or VJ) # 581.

· This record was released in 1964.

· What makes this record VERY UNIQUE is that the A-Side with “Please Please Me” has the VEE JAY OVAL LOGO and the B-Side with “From Me To You” has the VJ BRACKETS LOGO!!! MISMATCHED LOGOS ON THE LABELS!!!

· The error most likely occurred when Vee Jay Records was transitioning from its Oval Logo to its Brackets Logo in January of 1964.

· These error label records RARELY come available for auction or purchase. They are definitely “few and far between”.

· The VINYL is graded Strong VG to VG+ with several hairlines and scuffs and LOTS of gloss!

· This record comes with its ORIGINAL 1964 VJ PAPER SLEEVE that is black and red with white “SINGLES OF SIGNIFICANCE” along the top. The VJ brackets logo appears 7 times along the left and right sides. This sleeve was used with some VJ singles from 1964. According to Perry Cox, this sleeve “is somewhat scarcer than the other 1964 sleeve” that has the brackets logo 14 times on the right side instead of 7 on each side. This sleeve is in VG+ CONDITION with NO TEARS, NO SPLITS, and NO WRITING ON IT!

· It’s definitely a “MUST HAVE” RECORD for any BEATLES’ COLLECTION!
