THE BEATLES - 'PLEASE, PLEASE ME' 1963 UK 1st MONO PRESSING LP.

*BLACK & GOLD LABELS WITH 'DICK JAMES' CREDITS*

This is a MEGA RARE VERY FIRST 1963 MONO PRESSING, which is on the UK BLACK & GOLD Parlophone label, PMC 1202.

The labels carry the incorrect 'Dick James music.Co'. publishing credits for songs 1,2,6&7 on side one and 2,4&6 on side two. The tax/price code is visible in the centre of side one.

Housed in a correct laminated flipback  'E.J Day' cover with 'Angus Mc Bean' credit in the lower right hand corner. Complete with original 'Use Emitex' poly lined inner- sleeve.

MATRIX NUMBERS - XEX 421-1N & XEX 422-1N.

LABELS : Side 1 : VG+  Side 2 : VG+ Very bright and glossy, inspection under strong lighting reveal some light surface scratch marks.With light spindle wear, no touch up or missing paper on both sides 1 & 2.

VINYL- VISUAL : Side 1 : VG  Side 2 : EX . Very bright and glossy, Inspection under strong lighting reveal some moderate / light scratch marks on side one. Some light surface and superficial marks on side two.

AUDIO : VERY GOOD - EXCELLENT.  MODERATELY BUT NOT OVERPLAYED.  Very little lessening to the sound quality , both sides play without any major audible wear. Listening carefully, light groove wear is audible on 'I saw her standing there' and thereafter intermittantly on some extreme loud peaks only. Both run-ins and all bands play very quitely with only the occasional tick on side 1. tracks 6&7. No crackle, heavy clicks or pops. There are NO jumps or repeats anywhere.

COVER : GOOD.  Front panel is bright and clean with an unscratched, undamaged laminate, bearing few light wrinkles to the edges. The corners display some minor damage due to poor handling and storage. No splits or tears and the opening edges are clean, sharp with no missing paper, tears or feathering . The rear panel is clean and white with hardly any discolouration. The top rear right hand corner shows some light writing. There are very small sections of missing paper to the upper and lower flipback corners. The spine is clean and strong and without splits, except for the minor damage to the corners, mentioned earlier.

Posting : I will post anywhere in the world, with very secure packaging. LP. and cover will be  stored and sent in seperate heavy duty pvc covers. The package will be sent special delivery only. Winning bidder overseas must contact me after the auction as ended for postage costs. Postage and packing- special delivery in the UK, will cost £6.50.

I TOOK THE PICTURES OF BOTH LABELS OUTSIDE ON A VERY BRIGHT DAY, WITH THE CAMERA ONLY A COUPLE OF INCHES AWAY FROM BOTH LABELS. I APOLOGIES FOR THE REFLECTIONS AND BRIGHT PATCHES WHICH HAVE CAUSED POOR VISIBILITY AND DO NOT GIVE THE TRUE JUSTICE THAT THEY DESERVE. THIS LP IS ONE OF MY MOST TREASURED LPs I OWN OF THE BEATLES AND WILL BE SAD TO SEE IT GO.
