ORIGINAL 1957 PRESSING - MONO, DEEP GROOVE, RVG, FIREWORKS, NYC
This is an original 1957 mono deep groove pressing of Mobley's Second Message by the Hank Mobley Quintet with RVG in the deadwax. The structural problems of the jacket are a 3.5" seam split on the center of the bottom edge and corner wear. The cosmetic problems are a stain on the back cover along the spine and a pencil price above the stain. The vinyl has small scratches throughout and plays with constant crackle but it subsides as it gets closer to the center. Despite the noise, the music can be heard clearly throughout playback. The labels are clean and look good. This is a very rare record and will make an excellent starter copy or placeholder until a better copy turns up, which is not very often.
