'PLEASE, PLEASE ME'
1963 UK 4th PRESSING **STEREO** LP
This rare 1963 STEREO pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3042
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Parlophone Co Ltd...' rims
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the centre of the side 2 label.
Housed in a front laminated 'E.J. Day' cover bearing the large 'STEREO' logo.
Complete with its original lined 'Use Emitex inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 94-1 & YEX 94-1
Stamper numbers: 1/GO & 1/T
Labels: VERY GOOD PLUS
Visual: VERY GOOD
Clean, bright and glossy surfaces bearing some light surface marks and the occaisional light hairline scratch.
However, this copy has certainly not abused, overplayed or poorly handled and there are no deep or 'feelable' marks.
Thick heavy vinyl which lies 100% flat on the turntable without dishing or warping.
Audio: VERY GOOD
Having played the entire LP loudly I can report that the overall sound is clear and bright.
There is some light wear audible during the last 3 tracks on side 2 and some low level soft 'ticks' on the run-ins and the bands but no major audible faults.
Apart from the abovementioned faults the music plays without groovewear, crackle, clicks, jumps or repeats.
Cover: VERY GOOD PLUS
A clean and respectable example of this rare cover with just moderate handling and storage wear.
The front panel bears some light creasing with just two 'thumbnail' creases but retains its glossy and unscratched laminate.
The corners display light storagewear but the front and rear opening edges are clean, sharp and unworn with no 'feathering', tears or missing paper.
The rear panel is clean and white with just minor discolouration, but no marks or writing.
The lower flipback carries the original retailer's sticker but all are intact with no missing laminate or paper.
The spine is clean and readable and all seams are strong, intact and unsplit.
