THE BEATLES - 'PLEASE, PLEASE ME'
1969 UK *STEREO* PRESSING LP
In the past later pressings of UK Beatles LPs have been unfairly judged as being inferior to 1st pressings.
However close attention to detail, and more importantly, sound quality shows that they sound as good as or in some cases, a little better than their overplayed, more expensive 1st pressing counterparts.
This particular disc was pressed in the UK in late 1969 on high quality vinyl with the same original 'tube-cut' mixes/masters as the 1st pressing. It boasts outstanding sound quality which later solid-state cuts never matched.
If you value sound quality and want to enjoy tube-cut UK Beatles discs at a fraction of the price of the originals, look no further. You will not be disappointed.
This outstanding NEAR MINT copy is on the '1-EMI Box' Parlophone label: PCS 3042
Both labels carry 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rim texts.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed stereo cover.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 94-1 & YEX 95-1 (the same as the 1963 1st pressing)

A near perfect set with just two or three extremely small & faint spindle trails to the side 2 centre-hole.
Visual: 1. NEAR MINT 2. EXCELLENT
Both sides of this quality disc are free from any scuffs or scratches with just some insignificant wispy surface marks on side 1 caused by storage. Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs of dishing or warping.
Play: NEAR MINT
This copy has received just one or two careful plays on top-quality equipment and sounds 'as new' throughout with no trace of background noise or groovewear distortion in either channel. Apart form a touch of light/normal background between a few tracks, there is nothing else to fault audibly.

NEAR MINT
An immaculate clean & glossy front panel with a perfect, unscratched front laminate which bears no 'thumbnails' or any other signs of wear. It would be MINT if it were not for brusing to the upper corners. The rear panel is pristine white and clean with no marks, writing or missing paper. All flipbacks are present & perfectly clean and both seams and the spine are undamaged.

EXCELLENT
Clean & crisp with just minor storagewear creasing but no major faults.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I carefully play every record I sell on a $5,000 Rega P9 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
