 THE BEATLES - 'PLEASE, PLEASE ME'


Here is one of The Beatles' rarest UK label variations, with only ONE other copy known to exist.

It is a UK 1963 mono pressing on the yellow & black Parlophone label PMC 1202

The error occurs on the side 2 label where track 6 ('There's A Place') is switched with track 5 ('A Taste of Honey').

This copy was due to be destroyed at the factory but was taken home by an employee in 1963.


Matrix numbers: XEX 421-1N & XEX 422-1N

Stamper codes: 1/OP & 4/OH

Vinyl weight: 163g


Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover, complete with original rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.


CONDITION

Disc: GOOD

This disc has been played many times and both sides have numerous surface marks consistent with this. However the entire disc plays through without nothing more significant than some low-level vinyl background crackle but has no jumps, repeats or any other major faults. Impossible to find in any condition.

Cover: VERY GOOD +

Strong & fully intact with a clean high-gloss front panel bearing only a moderate scuff mark through yellow lettering. Otherwise there is just general light handling/storagwear. Both seams and the spine are unworn and there is no writing or missing paper anywhere.
