Description
This record was bought new by its current owner when it first released. The code on the sleeve is PMC1202. It has a gold and black Parlophone label which is in very in very good condition, there are spindle marks. Dick James publishing co credits on label. Vinyl suffers from quite a few noticeable surface marks and a number of light scratches and one or two deeper ones. The record itself has the codenumbers XEX 421-1N on side one and XEX 422 - 1N on side 2. There is another stamped mark that looks like either GM or G1.1 difficult to read. The playing surface still retains its original laquer shine. I am not able to comment on how well it plays as I am afraid I do not have a record player. The sleeve is in reasonably good condition printed and made by Ernest J Day. Photo Angus McBean is written in the bottom right corner. The front has a high gloss sheen and though a bit grubby in places with a few creases it is in very good condition. The edges of the sleeve are a bit worn but there is no sellotape or scribbling on it. There is slight discolouration to reverse and again a few marks and creases. The inner sleeve has record care information on one side and a plastic lining. The plasic lining is in very good condition but the outer paper is torn on one side (see picture) Generally this is in very good condition considering it is 41 years old.. SIDE 2 has: 1-Love me do. 2-PS I love you. 3-Baby its you. 4-Do you want to know a secret. 5-A taste of honey. 6-Theres a place. 7-Twist & Shout.
