1963 UK 1st MONO PRESSING LP

*ULTRA RARE 1ST EDITION BLACK & GOLD LETTERING*

This superb 1963 first mono pressing is on the UK black & GOLD Parlophone label: PMC 1202
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Parlophone Co Ltd...' rims.

Housed in an early, correct, front laminated, flipback 'E.J. Day' cover Complete with original clear windowed 'Use Emitex' inner sleeve.

Matrix numbers: XEX 421-1N & XEX 422-1N
Stamper numbers: 2/GH & 12/GH

RECORD -

Does exhibit obvious signs of play but still a very solid and shiny 'VG' visually and probably about the same audio wise, perhaps 'EX' depending on how sensitive a cartridge you use

SLEEVE -

Front is nice and clean, has mild creasing along the bottom along with laminate bubbling as well as a mild bend in the top right corner. Back shows signs of wear'n'tear around the flipback and someone has written a very faint name in what looks like red crayon near the top right corner (doesn't detract from the aesthetics, hardly visible). Also (as seen in pic) there's a line in the left paragraph of text but all the words are still visible thru this.
