1969 UK *MONO* PRESSING LP

**ULTRA-RARE '1 EMI BOX' LABEL**

'Please, Please Me' was only one of three titles to appear in mono on the '1 EMI Box' label in 1969.
Manufactured in extremely small quantities and a poor seller in this format at that time, it is now extremely scarce.

This ultra-rare 1969 UK MONO pressing is on the black & silver 'One EMI Box' Parlophone label: PMC 1202
Both labels omit a 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Gramophone Co..' rims.

Housed in its correct front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed 'small' mono logo cover.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.

Matrix numbers: XEX 421-1 & XEX 422-2
Stamper numbers: 13/RLA & 6/RM

Visual: NEAR MINT

Both appear in MINT condition when viewed in strong daylight and bear no scuffs, marks or any scratches to either side.
Careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals only some wispy inner-sleeve/paper hairlines but no further marks or wear.

Audio: NEAR MINT

This fine copy has received just some light, careful play on good quality equipment and no audible wear is detectable on any track.
All songs play without any trace of groovewear distortion, background noise, clicks or any other faults.
Both run-ins & all bands play silently and without interference.
Hard to upgrade this copy.

Cover: NEAR MINT

An fine example which retains a high-gloss, totally unscratched front laminate which is free from any edge wrinkles, creasing or other wear.
The corners all square & unbumped and the opening edges are both clean & sharp with no tears or 'feathering'.
The rear panel is pristine white & clean with no discolouration, writing or missing paper.
All flipbacks, seams and the spine are in perfect unbent & unworn condition.
