THE BEATLES - 'PLEASE, PLEASE ME'

1963 UK '3rd' PRESS *STEREO* LP

**ULTRA-RARE EARLY COPY**

This rare 1963 UK '3rd' STEREO pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3042
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' & 'Recording First Published..' texts.
The rims around each label begin 'Parlophone Co. Ltd..'
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 1 label.

Housed a 'gold & black' front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' large stereo logo cover.
The 'Angus McBean' credit is positioned in the extreme lower right corner.
Complete with its original poly-lined 'Use Emitex' inner-sleeve.

Matrix numbers: YEX 94-1 & YEX 95-1
Stamper numbers: 1/P & 1/G

The '1/G' mother/stamper on side 2 means that despite having a black & yellow label, this copy was in fact one of the first few hundred pressed.

Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals some light inner-sleeve removal hairlines, but no further wear.
100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.

Audio: EXCELLENT

This copy has recieved frequent but careful play & sound is clean & clear throughout with no background noise or groovewear distortion in either channel.
Both run-ins and all bands play extremely quietly with just a few light ticks in the band between tracks 3 & 4 on side 1 and 6 & 7 on side 2.
There are no heavy clicks, jumps, repeats or any other major faults anywhere.
