THE BEATLES - 'STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER'/'PENNY LANE'
This immaculate 1st pressing dates from initial February 1967 release and is on the black & silver Parlophone label: R 5570
The disc is housed within its MINT/UNCIRCULATED, original full-colour limited edition Parlophone picture-sleeve.
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text & have 'The Gramophone Co...' rim texts.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the 'Penny Lane' label.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 18415-2 & 7XCE 18416-2

A superb set with just a few light scuffs on the 'Strawberry Fields Forever' label & a single faint spindle mark from the factory to the 'Penny Lane' centre hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Pristine 'factory-fresh' playing surfaces which are 'as new' and unmarked in strong daylight with just a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines visible directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp. You will not need to upgrade this copy.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
This disc has clearly received just one or two plays at most and both sides play perfectly clean & clearly with no trace of any groove/playwear distortion. In fact apart from a a single tick on the introduction to 'Strawberry Fields Forever', it is flawless.
Cover: NEAR MINT
This pristine archive copy is perfectly clean & flat without even any central ring mark which blights so many copies of this fragile piece. the fragile upper edges are unworn and all seams are fully intact and there is no stains, writing or any other such blemish anywhere. The exceptional example will not require upgrading.
