Album Description/Condition:
1963 STEREO LP, for THE BEATLES debut album, PLEASE PLEASE ME, on the BLACK and YELLOW Parlophone label.
Both record labels have the ‘The Parlophone Co Ltd’ label rim, with ‘Made in Gt Britain’ label text, and printed ‘stereo’.
Side 1 record label is in very good plus condition. A CLEAN label - NO fading to the silver printed text, showing a little wear to the centre spindle hole, and some centre spider trails .
The side 2 record label is very good again, CLEAN with NO fading to printed text, with wear to the centre spindle hole, and some centre spider trails.
The side 1 matrix is: YEX 94-1 and side 2: YEX 95-1.
Side 1 stampers: 1GM and side 2: 1L
Both sides of the Vinyl Disc are in very good plus condition. There are surface hairline scratches to both sides of the vinyl, and a feelable scratch to track 7 side1, and track 1 side2, which produce a light click.
Audio Quality:
The LP plays well throughout the tracks. However, there is light background crackle, the occasional click.
The LP comes in its ORIGINAL ‘Use Emitex…’ polythene lined Inner bag which is in very good condition, NO seam splits or handwriting, just some age toning, and creasing.
…And is protected in an ORIGINAL Laminated ERNEST J DAY Three Flip Back Sleeve, printed with large 'stereo’ printed to the top right hand corner of the front of the sleeve.
The sleeve is in poor condition, showing wear to all edges and corners,a 4” split to the bottom edge,a 3” split to the top edge,wear to all of the edges and corners, and damage to the bottom flipback on the reverse of the sleeve.
Not in the best condition available, but still an original 1963 STEREO Beatles Debut Album.
