The boilerplate stuff

  • Shipping and handling will be $6.00 within the U.S. with an optional $1.35 for insurance.  You will be notified of the cost for shipping internationally.
  • A word or two about shipping and handling – My shipping and handling charge is meant to cover several things.  The shipping part is easy – that is the cost the Post Office charges.  Handling includes eBay fees (listing fee and final value fee), packaging costs, and PayPal fees.  As a buyer, you are expected to pay these costs, so you owe it to yourself to understand them.  eBay charges a flat bracketed fee to list an item and a percentage of the final selling price as well.  This “final value fee” is 5.25% up to $25 and 3% over $25.  PayPal charges 2.9% of the total payment (for US payments) or 3.9% of the total payment (for international payments) plus $.30.  I DO NOT MAKE MONEY ON SHIPPING AND HANDLING, BUT YOU ARE EXPECTED TO COVER THESE COSTS!  You can read about the fees on the respective websites.  Check traditional auction house websites (like Christie’s) and you will see that the buyer pays the auction (or “hammer”) price PLUS a “buyer’s premium” that goes to the auction house.  This is the equivalent of the above fees and is paid by the buyer.  Please do not get angry when your shipping and handling charge seems to be more than the cost to ship the item – that is the way it works.

  • I ship on Saturday.  If your payment is received by Friday, your item will be shipped on Saturday.  Personal checks add 1 week to the process.
  • Positive feedback will always be left for you after your payment is received.  I hope you will do the same for me after you receive your item.
  • I expect to receive your payment no more than 7 days after the auction ends.  If you are mailing your payment, please email me to let me know.
  • Please don't bid unless you intend to honor your commitment.  I will absolutely leave negative feedback for non-paying bidders.
  • Insurance is offered on all items.  Once your item leaves my hands it is out of my control.  If you are concerned about this, please purchase insurance.
  • All of the items I am selling are from my personal collection.  If you are looking for Beatles items, watch my auction sites for records, books, magazines, and other memorabilia.
