Description
Beatles 'Please Please Me'. Misprint label ' The Bearles ' !! Mono PMC 1202 Looking on google I think this is a fourth press as XEX 421 - 1N on matrix side 1 and 422-1N on side 2. The sleeve, as you can see from photos is in poor condition, missing some of art work on top right corner and split along one edge, but the record is VG- condition with some light surface marks and scratches. What makes this record interesting is that there is a misprint on label, the label read 'The Bearles' rather than 'the Beatles', the top part of the 't' is missing on the typeface. As you will see from close inspection of the photos the type has not rubbed off or worn of, but been misprinted. The front cover picture is credited to Angus McBean, the 'A' of Angus aligned under the 2nd 'S' of songs, the credit is about 10mm from the outer sleeve edge. The sleeve is printed by EJ Day. In terms of other information on the matrix ; On side 1 there is a '2' at 9 oclock on the runout and 'TL' at 2 oclock. On side 2 there is a '4' at 8 oclock on runout and 'GGR' on matrix at 2 oclock
