THE BEATLES - 'HELP!'
UK *STEREO* PRESSING VARIANT LP
On the familiar yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3071
Seldom seen on this LP, both labels use 'Roman' style font & have large 'STEREO' indicators.
The asterisk denoting George's compostion on 'I Need You' is placed before the title. On early pressings it came after.
Both labels have 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible in the centre of the side 1 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed stereo cover with a solid front panel stereo logo.
The cover is still encased in its original shrinkwrapping & is complete with its original 'Use Emitex' rice paper lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 168-1 & YEX 169-1

Visual: EXCELLENT
Clean, bright and deep-gloss surfaces which are unmarked in strong daylight with not a single surface mark or scratch to been seen. Close examination beneath halogen light reveals just some insignificant wispy hairlines and faint marks from inner-sleeve removal/storage but no other blemishes. Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs of dishing or warping.
Play: EXCELLENT
This hard to find variant has received only careful play on good equipment and plays without any significant deterioration to the sound quality or any major faults. My careful playcheck at volume founds just a single click, which was in the band between track 3 & 4 on side 1 and a touch of light/normal background between tracks & on 'Yesterday', but no other significant audible distractions.
Cover
EXCELLENT +
Protected by its original shrinkwrapping, the cover has overall remained in 'as new' condition. There is a small 2cm repaired tear to the front opening edge but no other significant or major flaws to any part of this rare cover.
Inner-sleeve
EXCELLENT +
Clean & crisp with just a touch of unavoidable light storagewear but no split, tears or writing.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I carefully play every record I sell on a $5,000 Rega P9 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
