'HELP!'
In the past, early 1970's issues of Beatles LPs have been unfairly judged as being inferior to 1st pressings. However, close attention to detail, and more importantly, sound quality shows that they sound as good as or in some cases, a little better than their overplayed, more expensive 1st pressing counterparts.
These discs pressed in the UK between October 1969 until late 1972 on 1 or 2 EMI Box, 'Gramophone Co..' rimmed labels, were pressed on high quality vinyl and in most cases used the same original 'tube-cut' mixes/masters as 1st pressings. All boast outstanding sound quality which later solid-state cuts never matched.
If you value sound quality and want to enjoy tube-cut UK Beatles mixes at a fraction of the price of the originals, look no further. You will not be disappointed.

Both labels have 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims
The disc is housed in a front laminated, non-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with a small solid 'stereo' logo.
Complete with its original red & white printed EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 168-1 & YEX 169-1 (the same as the 1965 1st pressing)
Stamper numbers: 3/PA & 3/-

A clean & bright set with just a few spindle trails to each centre hole.
Visual: 1. EXCELLENT 2. VERY GOOD
Both surfaces are clean & glossy with the only major blemish being a 5cm scratch/scuff mark on side 2 which covers the first 3 tracks. Close & careful inspection directly under my powerful halogen light reveals a few light marks and wispy hairlines but no other major signs of wear. Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs of dishing or warping.
Play: 1. EXCELLENT + 2.VERY GOOD
This great sounding copy has received just a small number of plays and my careful play-check at volume uncovered no evidence of any groovewear or playwear on any track or in either channel. Side 2 is downgraded only due to the fact that the aforementioned scratch produces a some repeating light clicks on the first 3 tracks on side 2. There are no jumps, sticks or any other major faults.
Cover
VERY GOOD +
A clean & white example displaying a high-gloss which bears just a few light laminate wrinkles but no heavy creasing or wear. The corners are all sharp and unbumped & both opening edges are clean & intact with no discernable signs of wear. The rear panel is extremely clean & white with no writing or missing paper. Both seams and the spine are unstressed & undamaged.

Apart from the inevitable light disc impression, this is in 'as new' with no writing, tears or splits.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I carefully play every record I sell on a $5,000 Rega P9 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
- All the photos in this listing have been taken by myself and are of the actual items for sale.
- All records are professionally & securely in custom-made record mailing boxes with the disc removed from the cover.
