RARELY OFFERED **MONO**, TOTALLY COMPLETE WITH BLACK DIE CUT INNER & CARD INSERT
WONDERWALL was released on 1 November 1968 by Apple UK. This is an EXTREMELY SIGNIFICANT Album as not only was it George Harrison’s FIRST UK SOLO Album, it was also the FIRST Solo Album released by a BEATLE, AND the FIRST album to be released by APPLE UK.
In addition, this is the ULTRA RARE **MONO** Version, released in far fewer numbers than the stereo version.
This ORIGINAL UK FIRST PRESSING MONO VINYL LP is on the Custom Apple labels, with ‘Apple Records’ label rim, ‘Mfd in UK’ and with ‘Sold in UK….’ label text.
The record labels are in SUPERB near mint condition. A STUNNING, UNWORN set of record labels, showing no more than just a couple of faint centre spider trails, only visible when tilting the record around in certain light.
Side 1 matrix: APCOR 1A-1 and Side 2: APCOR 1B-1.
Side 1 stampers: 1/A and Side 2: 1/M.
Both sides of the HEAVYWEIGHT Vinyl Disc are in EXCEPTIONAL near mint condition, GLOSSY, BARELY PLAYED, UNWORN Vinyl - clearly has only been played a couple of times – hard to detect even a surface hairline.
Play Quality
The album plays BEAUTIFULLY throughout, a Powerful CLEAR, MONO sound, without any skips or clicks.
The Record comes in its ORIGINAL Black Die-Cut Inner Bag in SUPERB condition. NO seam splits, handwriting or tearing, only inevitable light creasing.
Also comes with its ORIGINAL 12" x 12" Apple Records Card Insert, which again is in SUPERB condition, with just a couple of small creases to the corners, no tearin or handwriting.
…..And is housed in its ORIGINAL, FIRST ISSUE, FULLY LAMINATED **MONO**Picture Card Sleeve, printed ‘mono’ to the bottom right hand corner to the reverse of the sleeve. Additionally the ‘APCOR 1’ Catalogue number is clearly printed to the spine edge of the sleeve.
The sleeve is in EXCEPTIONAL near mint example. An outstanding FIRM, FLAT, UNDAMAGED sleeve. ULTRA GLOSSY Laminate. All edges and corners are UNDAMAGED, NO handwriting, NO tearing. Only the faintest hint of record indentation (not visible head on, only when tilting the sleeve around in certain light). Without doubt, it would be hard to find a better one!
The RAREST of all George Harrison’s UK album releases and an ULTRA RARE UK Apple album. Without hesitatation this RARELY SEEN album is a FINAL UPGRADE!!
