The Factory Sample sticker indicates this item was at the beginning of a run of pressings and was pressed initially for internal purposes and inspection.  If proved OK, these items are then sold on internally or handed to the media, but they can often appear unplayed and in mint condition so many years on after being well stored.  

HISTORY
A rare version published by PARLOPHONE UK of the BEATLES second studio album - recorded in 1963 at Abbey Road and effectively trumpeting the beginning of what became Beatlemania.  This item has a test pressing sticker on Side 1 and because of it's MINT condition remains a highly sought after item.

Special Collector Note: The spelling of the third song on Side 2 is ''Got A'' rather than ''Gotta''  and credits are given to ''Dominion Belinda''.  

SLEEVE CONDITION
The sleeve front shows very small signs of lifting in the laminate where there have been slight folds, the rear does not show this although there is slight browning due to the age of the item.  The cover is still well stuck together and there are no self repair marks of sellotape, rips, scuffs, or handwriting to report.   The sleeve is graded as VG/Ex.
Additionally the disc is held in the original EMI 'patent no' white paper inner sleeve with no folds, tears or handwriting. 

LABELS
The labels appear in mint condition.  Under bright light there is a small indication of spindle marks.
On SIDE 1 as you will note from the pictures a unique FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE sticker was added at the time of pressing. 

VINYL
Excellent condition / almost mint under bright light.  There is one or two very tiny hairline marks which show up under bright light which then do not transfer audibly.  Other than that there are no marks, lines, scratches to report audibly or visibly. It really is an awesome copy! 

SUMMARY
In it's original form ''With the Beatles'', the second ever studio LP produced by the fab four can command a high price whether in stereo or it's deceased mono counterpart.  This is a unique MONO pressing, playing in MINT condition, which was produced at the head of a production line and kept internally at EMI for technical reasons before being outsourced, rather than sold in a retail setting, and stored well for now nearly 50 years.   
This is a rare peice of Beatles history which rarely is available, and when it is it is considered of high value to Beatles fans and collectors worldwide.
