One orginal copy of The Beatles most rare picture sleeve with an original record.
Cover has a couple of small tears from top down as seen in the photo of the Cant Buy Me Love side as well as a small pen mark in the Capitol Records stamp - very hard to see even in person. I almost missed it but again I show this in the photo's. There is slight darkening around the edges which is also hard to see in the photo's. The You Can't Do That side has the top edge folded down over the top - see photo and also shows some record wear appearing next to the title on this side.
Overall a super version of this highly sought after picture sleeve. I'm not a Beatles expert but I would call this an 8 out of 10 considering I bought this herre in the WASH. DC area back when I was 8 years old! Somehow it survived my childhood, and my sisters!
Now, about the record itself. Mine was destroyed by my sister's insessent playing and she ended up with that copy. What I have here is a replacement that is not in great shape (loads better than the one I had!) and has minor scratches but someone even drew with a pen across the You Can't Do That side. I would rate the record a 5 out of 10.
This is really about the sleeve isn't it? Just the same.........
The dead wax has the following: You Can't Do That -> 45-X-44913-F3 #2 and the "I AM" triangle, and Can't Buy Me Love -> 45-X-44914-G6 & the "I AM" triangle. I do believe this is an original also, just not the exact one that came with the sleeve. The is writing on the Can't Buy Me Love side - "19" as seen in the photo's. The record states "Recorded in England 3-304" and at the bottom it states "MFD by Capitol Records inc USA TM Capitol MARCA Reg."
