READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

So with that said…

The vast majority of copies of Alpha/Omega were pressed and distributed out of New Jersey.  A much smaller distribution came out of Cleveland, Ohio, and those copies are very hard to find.

Of all the label variations for volume 1, the hardest to find are the green labels.  This copy is a starter copy, unfortunately with one album that is cracked. This has been my starter copy since the 1980’s, and I still have not seen another one.  Time for someone else to take up the search while filling the hole in their collection with this one.

Vinyl--- Disc 1 EX/ VG+.

              Disc 2 VG/ VG+.

              Disc 3 Poor. Cracked from lip to label. Had the                                       crack not been there, LP would be VG/ VG+.  See photo.

              Disc 4 VG/ VG.

Plates--- Has the matrices, ATRBH-101-1, sequential all the way to 101-8.

Box--- VG minus.  Lots of general wear, taped back together. However, the color graphics are still bright and punchy, not worn off like usual.

Labels--- All 8 labels are pretty nice, with the exception of a stray spindle mark here and there.  Labels 1 and 5 have some minor wear, and about half have very light wear around the playhole.

Inner Sleeves--- All present and in very nice condition.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
