Only 10,000 copies were produced and distributed, but almost all were quickly returned to Epitaph's warehouse. Brett Gurewitz's girlfriend Suzy Shaw, who worked at the warehouse, surreptitiously sold all but 300 of them.
The album, which has been out of print for years, is generally disowned by the band, and there has never been a second pressing. Despite its abandonment, it has become highly desirable and is now a collector's item. The band has commented on the album on their site saying that they are not trying to hide it from fans, and that "anyone who listens to it will understand" why it has never been re-released.
Most of the songs off this album, except "It's Only Over When…", "Billy Gnosis", "The Dichotomy" and "...You Give Up", have never been played live in concert by the band.
