Description

Unforgettable! This is the greatest performance of Mozart's opera on records, wrote Irving Kolodin and other top reviewers. The reason, I think, is that never have so many of the leading singers of the time --such as comic bass Italo Tajo or the Finnish sprano Auliki Rautawaara--been assembled under a  superb Mozart conductor like Fritz Busch. The recorded sound is live and sparkling (recorded in 1935, remastered 195?).Three record set is in excellent playable condition. There are two minor surface scratches, but these are inaudible.
