Brief description of item

This is "Brutus" & a demo release on the purple label from 1975. A-1U/B-1U A side is "Payroll" Other side (B) "New Deal Princess" has no printed B. (Undecided side perhaps). "DEMO RECORD NOT FOR SALE" on the labels and all perfectly legible text. Produced by "Graham Todd"

The cover is made in England. EMI records - Hayes Middlesex 9The Gramophone Company LTD)  Purple/White promo cover? or rare company sleeve.

No handwritten names, ripping or tearing. One miniscule knick on the centre. No splitting to the cover or loosening of glue.

This is a real rarity dug up recently these NEVER surface and as a result are severely RARE. Never seen another one personally in over 20+ years of collecting. Decided to offer it up & see what happens. Currently selling my vinyl. I love music but can't keep everything. This appears to be the ONLY one listed worldwide at this time. Be nice for it to find an equally caring new home.

The actual record is in TOP shape looks and sounds un-played. I have given it a test run on both sides & am happy to state this is no less than excellent. With no scratched marks, needle thrashing, nail scuffs, warping of the disc, absolutely no skips, or jump in play. No pop , tick or crackle.

Great tracks here, that at one point about three quarters of the way through on side B, seem like the records going to take a different direction with a psych Hammond breakdown, that lasts all to short in my opinion. I know these guy's did an L.P. Which is highly scarce. Not sure if the tracks featured here are the same versions on the full length version (or even featured there) If the right person who REALLY want's to own this for addition to your collection, please mail me with a realistic offer & I will place a buy it now option.  Please do not quote me any pre-payed price's for this one. All records listed are in no less than EX condition (see above for actual grading). In some cases I may list a very rare record at a lesser grading but this will be described in detail. All items are graded conservatively according to Record Collectors Grading System Record Collectors Grading system (outlined at end of listing)

All vinyl comes from a smoke, damp and pet free environment

Record will be packed in a tough custom box DEFENDAPACK mailer as shown in the photos below. The mailer has a locking tab. The record will be placed outside its cover and inside a brand new polythene protector between two card stiffeners and sealed at the top with fragile marked masking tape. Items are labelled "handle with care".

All items will be sent within 3 working days although most items are sent the next day following payment

Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condiition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displayes no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable

Good (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has notceably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler

CD's and CASSETTES As a general rule CD's and Cassettes either play perfectly - inwhich case they are in Mint condition - or they don't, in which case their value is minimal. Cassette tape is liable to deteriorate with age, even if it remains unplayed, so care should be taken when buying old tapes. CD's are difficult to grade visually; they can look perfect but actually be faulty, while in other cases they may appear damaged but still play perfectly. Cassette and CD inlays and booklets should be graded in the same way as record covers and sleeves. In general, the plastic containers for cassettes and CDs can easily be replaces if they are broken or scratched, but card covers and digipaks are subject to the same wear as record sleeves
