Description
Original KING OF FUH bought from a Beatles collector about 5 years ago. This is the collector who owns Ringo's Abbey Road jacket and Paul's Shea safari jacket. I have collected Beatles records since 1980, but alas, it is time to part with this VERY HEAVY record. It is the heaviest 45 I have ever held. It was manufacted in the U.K.
The 45 itself is visually graded VG to VG+. Could probably be cleaned up a little by wiping it off. Being a collector, I have a high-quality Techniques record player, and played the disc today. There is hardly any surface noise at all - the record plays beautifully - both sides. A real gem here. There is a black sharpie marking on the green apple label side with K.O.F. It looks like 'TS.' It is about half inch by half inch. The labels look very nice. It is in an original Apple sleeve. Please email with questions. For the most serious collector.
On Jun-12-06 at 14:05:53 PDT, seller added the following information: There have been a number of potential buyers asking for pics. I do not have a scanner, thus, no pics are in the auction. If I were able to show pics, they would already be there. Here is more info regarding matrix numbers. On the FUH side, there is what looks like a name of J.M. SAFE (I believe) and also APPLE 8A2. On the NOBODY KNOWS side, there is JONATHAN SAFE and APPLE 8B2. I'm not quite sure what the last name is, because is is hand-etched. I won't end the auction early, and I cannot accept less than my reserve. The winner will choose method of postage and WILL PAY FOR POSTAGE. I am here to help. I will answer all your questions. Good luck On Jun-15-06 at 13:40:52 PDT, seller added the following information: IMPORTANT INFO: I have noticed something else on the record as of recently. On the NOBODY KNOWS/sliced apple side, there is a ball-point pen doodle in the upper corner of the label. Looking closely, it appears to possibly be "J M SAFE." So, who is Safe? I called Bruce Spizer, Apple records expert, Wednesday to ask if he ever heard the name, and he thinks it was the engineer. Even Bruce isn't sure. He says he has only seen one FUH himself.
