I am selling my entire vinyl collection that includes LPs from the 1960s through 2000. I have a handful of sealed records and will sell those first. Most of the other records are in M- to VG+ condition and almost all the sleeves are M- or VG++. I am not an expert in grading records. I consider Mint albums to be only those sealed. My criteria for others is:

Near Mint or Mint Minus :  NM or M- records are opened, but visually appear to have never been played and have no visual flaws. Sleeves must look as new. I use this rating sparingly.

Very Good Plus:  VG+ records are nice and shiny, but may show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience. In general, if not for a couple things wrong with it, this would be Near Mint. All but the most mint-crazy collectors will find a Very Good Plus record highly acceptable.

      VG+ covers should have only minor wear. An LP cover may have slight signs of wear, lightly turned up corners and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation or corner. 

Very Good:  VG records have more obvious flaws than their counterparts in better shape. They lack some of the original gloss found on factory-fresh records and may have light scratches deep enough to feel with a fingernail. When played, a VG record has surface noise, and some scratches may be audible, especially in soft passages and during a song’s intro and ending. But the noise will not overpower the music otherwise. They remain a fine listening experience, just not the same as if it were in better shape.

            VG labels can have minor writing, tape or stickers which can detract from the label. 

VG covers will have many signs of human handling. Ring wear in the middle or along the edges of the cover where the edge of a record would reside. Some more creases might be visible. Seam splitting will be more obvious. Someone might have written or it or stamped a price tag on it, too.

 I will not be selling any record I grade as less than VG at this time.

 I will make every effort to describe any condition flaws as specifically as I can regardless of the grade and will include pictures, so buyers can judge for themselves. I am not a dealer, so please feel free to ask questions if you want more detail. Albums will be visually inspected and played on a high-grade system including a B&O turntable before being listed.

 I ship USPS Priority with delivery confirmation and insurance within the US and insured international priority to the rest of the world. The 70-cent handling charge listed in the auction is the confirmation charge. This will not be applied to international buyers. 

 Records that are not sealed will be wrapped separately from the sleeve. I pack carefully for safe arrival.
