LP : Boney - Original TV-Serial Soundtrack

Original German pressing from 1972 on BELLAPHON, BI 15 110, nice fully laminated cover. Music composed by the great Sven Libaek for the Australian TV-serial “Boney”, shown in 1972 on German TV on the ZDF channel. There are no other pressings than the German and the Australian ( on FESTIVAL ) ! Awesome soundtrack with some jazz, funk & psychedelic influences. Relaxed jazzy flute solos, spacey vibraphone parts ( reminding a bit in some cases of the “Dave Pike Set” ), echo devices, mystic Aborigines “clapping sticks” and more. Extensive liner-notes in German on the back. You can listen on youtube: “Libaek Action Theme” , “Libaek - Boney 1972“ & “Libaek Wild Formations” . Hard to find !

Condition: over the years the PVC of the deluxe-innersleeve has left some very very light impressions on the record-surface ( like tiny faint shadows ), there are also 2 little surface-marks and some tiny hairlines; both is to be seen more under a very strong halogen lamp where the record looks ex-/vg+. In daylight & in normal artificial light the LP looks more like mint--/ex++. Happily all of this does not affect the playback: it plays in mint- all of the time.

The cover shows just slight shelfwear, all seams/spine are intact without rub, only the lower corners show minmal rub, slightest ewar at the opening, front & back are fine, the lamination is intact; overall ex+.

Zustand: auf der seltenen LP hat sich im Laufe der Jahre ein ganz klein wenig das PVC der gefütterten Innenhülle durchgedrückt so dass optisch einige ganz leichte blasse “Schatten” entstanden sind, es gibt auch 2 kleine oberflächliche Flecken und einige dünne hairlines; beides sieht man eigentlich erst unter einer sehr hellen Halogenlampe, wo die LP ex- bis vg+ aussieht. Bei Tageslicht & unter einer normalen Lampe sieht die Platte eher mint--/ex++ aus. Zum Glück beeinflußt nichts davon das Abspielverhalten: die LP spielt durchgehend in mint- .

Das Cover hat nur ganz leichte Lagerspuren, alle Kanten sind intakt und ohne Abrieb, nur an beiden unteren Ecken ist etwas Abrieb, leichte Gebrauchsspuren am Einschub, Vorder- & Rückseite sind schön erhalten, die Laminierung ist intakt; insgesamt in ex+. alle Platten habe ich professionell gereinigt und angehört (meist ganz, manchmal in Ausschnitten). Kommen mit neuer Außen- & Innenhülle !

Grading & Cleaning:

• the record has been cleaned on my professional HANNL record cleaning machine

• after that I playgraded it (completely or at least in parts) on my Rega Planar 9, Moving Coil cartridge by EINSTEIN:TU-3 Super Fine Line ( please consider that the playback might differ a bit depending on your own equipment )

• I also visually graded the record in daylight, in normal artificial light & under a strong halogen lamp

• only an unplayed record is mint, the highest grading for a used record is mint- ! My basic gradings are: mint – ex – vg

• cleaned records are stored in a new pro innersleeve and they are placed in a PVC protection-sleeve
