One man, a melodeon, his dog and a brace of great storyteller type songs, sparsely performed (indeed some are acapella) on this tremendous and rare album. Bob (also an author) had an interesting life and many of these tales come from his days on the barges, in the days when they were a form of goods transport.

PLEASE NOTE: I do not "sight-test" records and list with comments like "vinyl looks to be in good condition". This is because a disc can look perfect but still have surface noise throughout (as I've found on too many occasions). All my records are played from start to finish on a fairly unforgiving Sansui deck fitted with an Ortofon cartridge and stylus.
