BOB DYLAN: vs A.J. Weberman FOLKWAYS 12" LP 33 RPM Like New.
A rare find for the Dylan fan, providing insight into a side of Dylan rarely seen - raw, testy and profane at times. Recorded unbeknownst to him by Weberman, who is known for coming up with terms like "Dylanologist" and "garbageologist." Interestingly, Dylan engages in the long conversations of verbal sparring back-and-forth and even calls Weberman "AJ the Pig" several times. Weberman claims he was jumped and hit numerous times by Dylan himself on another occasion, who caught Weberman digging through his garbage.
Recorded in 1971, it was put out on the Folkways label in 1977, but swift legal action forced Moe Asch to withdraw it immediately, resulting in its' extreme rarity.
This like new Vinyl LP appears to have never been played and records the verbal sparring that took place between Dylan and Weberman in two long telephone conversations, together with an eight-page booklet describing the background of AJ Weberman's interest (obsession?) with Dylan. Three songs are also included, two by David Peel and one by Grace Slick (with Great Society, 1965).
