BOB DYLAN - THE GASLIGHT TAPES - RARE COLLECTIBLE LP - CIRCA 1973 - EXCELLENT!!!
Subtitled, "Visions Through a Window: a charles pratt ramsey reniger prod.", this rare unofficial LP from the original heyday of bootleg records was the first of many subsequent underground releases labeled "The Gaslight Tapes."
The entire collection of circulating "Gaslight Tapes" actually consists of three different live recordings of Dylan performing at The Gaslight club, NYC, between 1961 and 1962. The selections on this album are from the third of these tapes, recorded late in 1962, and include the first-ever known live performance of "Don't Think Twice, It's Alright" and second-ever performance of "Hard Rain."
Only Side 2 of the LP actually features material from The Gaslight. Side 1 is another early live performance, recorded at The Finjan Club in Montreal, Canada, in June 1962.
The record is in excellent condition with a few shallow scuff marks that do not affect play, no actual scratches. The labels are blank and unmarred. It comes in the plain white cardboard jacket typical of this era with printed paper cover insert, both of which look practically brand new!
