BOB DYLAN LP THE FREEWHEELIN'. This is a US FIRST STEREO pressing on the COLUMBIA label from 1963, CAT# CS-8786. Stereo pressings were much more rare than the mono's. It was a new thing at the time, and people would have to pay an additional dollar for the stereo copy. That was a big difference at a time when the mono's were selling for 2-3 bucks. This copy has the black "360 STEREO SOUND" on the labels with no arrows, NON BREAKABLE printed on labels to the left of the spindle and below the cat #, the mono cat # appears on the back cover along with the stereo cat #, and the number "1" on the back bottom right cover. This copy came with a blank white inner, but some came with a Columbia promotional inner. This particular copy is incredibly rare because of the mis-pressed labels. I've never seen this before on this album. The side 2 labels are affixed to both sides. There's no side 1 label at all. The LP is pressed correctly with both sides of music. COVER VG++ The cover is close to NM, but has a few blemishes; Very faint ring wear to front. The spine took a small hit between the E and the W of freewheeling'. A whisper hairline on the front cover paper from the spine to the Columbia Eye logo (about an inch). Otherwise this is a spectacular cover.
VINYL - Side with Don't Think Twice is NEAR MINT - Has full gloss. Looks and plays as new. PRISTINE. Side with Blowin' in the Wind is VG+ because it has some light tics on that first song. It's very much under the volume of the music. The rest of the side plays beautifully. Very pristine. The audio quality on this pressing is awesome.
