Cover: NEAR MINT, Vinyl: EXCELLENT, Labels: NEAR MINT. FIRST PRESSING 1965 MONO LP RECORD/Label with two "eyes"! MATRIX NUMBERS: XLP-110638-1B, XLP-110639-1C. This is a RARE MONO FIRST PRESSING of DYLAN's 1965 ELECTRIC ROCK & ROLL MASTERPIECE! It contains the standard version of "From A Buick 6". As I understand it, the alternate take only appears on stereo versions. AND, I have a stereo version with the alternate take in my current auctions! Check it out! This LP includes his Top Ten hit "LIKE A ROLLING STONE" which is consistently voted the GREATEST ROCK & ROLL SONG EVER RECORDED! Music scholars, Rock & Roll Lovers and us total DYLAN heads point to his 1965-66 triumvirate of "BRINGING IT ALL BACK HOME", "HIGHWAY 61 REVISITED" and "BLONDE ON BLONDE" as the GREATEST ROCK & ROLL music ever recorded! And you'll get no argument from these quarters. But, honestly, until you have heard this music in the original HIGH FIDELITY/MONO mixes you have not heard the true majesty of these recordings! There is a raw power, a barely controlled energy and a tightness of focus in the aural assault of these records that is absolutely lost in the stereo versions. You really have to hear the original mono mixes to truly appreciate what BOB has created with these three albums! So, dig this! And, dig it deeply! This record PLAYS FANTASTIC! NEAR MINT: the very slightest signs of use, truly near mint. May have a few tiny signs of wear on the cover and/or a few slight paper scuffs on the vinyl. Plays perfectly. EXCELLENT or STRONG VG++: light use is evident. The beginnings of ring wear will be evident on the cover and some surface scuffs will appear on the vinyl, BUT record will play with no background noise. VG++: use is evident but not bad. Cover has ring wear and vinyl has noticeable surface wear. Should play with NO surface noise during the music. VG+: average used record, looks OK, plays OK. No surface noise is noticeable during the music. Some surface noise is possible during quiet passages. VG: Cover shows more than normal wear and vinyl shows more than normal wear. This record will play with light background noise that does not overwhelm the music. I GRADE my items CONSERVATIVELY, then describe in detail any noticeable flaws.
