·       This is a rare original US mono promo pressing of Bob Dylan, “Bringing It All Back Home”, on Columbia, CL-2328 released in 1965.
 

·       Extremely rare original first press “2-eye” red Columbia label with the words "Guaranteed High Fidelity" at the bottom of the label, shortly to be replaced by the more common "2-eye 360 sound" mono red and white label.

·      Though the record features the stock labels, it is clearly identified as a promo pressing by the "Demonstration Not For Sale" stamp on the back cover (see image at bottom). And hearing is believing.

·       This is the original, authentic, first U.S. pressing – this is not a reissue, import, or counterfeit pressing.

·       Original thick cardboard cover (American style).

·       Beautiful, wear-free labels.

·      Though recently re-issued in it's original mono mix by Sundazed, this rare original mono first pressing remains by far the best audio representation ever of this Dylan classic.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  I am a careful, conservative grader.  All my records are graded visually under strong diffuse light, and I play at least a portion of each record to verify the visual grade.  Any known playback issues are clearly identified in the description.

I grade the record as NEAR MINT.  A very few light and superficial scratches/abrasions – probably sleeve scuffs - are (barely) visible, but do not detract from the visual integrity or beauty of the vinyl. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.  It has clearly been very well cared for, and like many classic mono recordings of the period features clear, vivid and punchy sound – far preferable in fact to its stereo counterpart.  You would be hard pressed to find an original copy of this classic album in better condition!

Cover:

I grade the cover as NEAR MINT -, with vibrant colors and NO seam splits. 

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

·        Light ringwear (nothing significant); on the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and 10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ringwear as 1-2.

·        Slight cracks in the top seam near the left hand corner and in the spine (nothing significant).

-   No dirt/dust rubbing stains (friction marks caused by rubbing against other covers)
