Blue are a Scottish pop rock band, formed in Glasgow in 1973. The band currently consists of Hughie Nicholson, Ian MacMillan and David Nicholson.
Formed and fronted by ex-Marmalade guitarist Hughie Nicholson, Blue signed to RSO Records and released their eponymous debut album the same year. Nicholson was a member of Marmalade between 1971 and 1973, writing fifteen songs to fulfil their Decca recording contract, including the hits, "Cousin Norman", "Back On the Road", and "Radancer" before he left to form Blue. He wrote the majority of Blue's material, including their most recognised number, "Gonna Capture Your Heart". Earlier in his life, he had been a member of the 1960s Scottish rock outfit, The Poets.
Blue's debut single "Little Jody" failed to chart. It was recorded before Jimmy McCulloch joined the band. A revised version of "Little Jody" appeared on a compilation album, 20 in 2002. They then added another guitarist, Robert 'Smiggy' Smith (born 30 March 1946, Kiel, Germany) before recording and issuing their second album, Life in the Navy.
This revised line-up did not last for long, following a dispute with RSO, only MacMillan and Nicholson remained. The duo then added Charlie Smith (drummer) and David Nicholson (bass),[1] and it was this line-up that signed to Elton John's record label named The Rocket Record Company and scored a US Billboard Hot 100 chart entry, and UK Singles Chart Top 40 hit, with "Gonna Capture Your Heart". It was their debut release from the Another Night Time Flight album which was produced by Elton John and Clive Franks. Blue released two other singles from the album which both failed to enter the UK Singles Chart.
They released one other album for Rocket; Fools' Party (1979)[1] before parting company and re-locating to Los Angeles, California. They spent three years compiling new material and playing the local clubs such as The Roxy, The Troubadour, The Palomino, Madame Wong's and the Central Club (later The Viper). Unsuccessful in securing a contract with their new material, they returned to the UK in 1983, shortly before which Blue released the single "Don't Wanna Make You Cry"/"Moonlight" on the Zuma label (1982). Nicholson released "Love You Made a Fool of Me" (1984), and whilst continuing to record with MacMillan, also wrote and produced four singles with Gary Numan on lead vocals; "Radio Heart", "London Times" and "All Across the Nation" which were released under the name Radio Heart in 1987, and "Like a Refugee (I Won't Cry)" released under the name Da Da Dang in 1994. The first two releases entered the UK chart.
In 2003, the remaining personnel Hugh and David Nicholson plus Ian MacMillan took the then high flying boy band Blue to court. It was a high profile High Court case over the use of the band's name. But the 1970s band Blue heard the judge opine that "it is not difficult to distinguish between the present day pop group, and the original users of the group's title". They subsequently came to an agreement that they could continue to share the name.

1. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
I am happy to offer international shipping to many different countries, please send me your information for a shipping quote.
There are certain countries that I have excluded because their postal system is considered to be unreliable. If you see that your country is on the list of exclusions, you may have the option to purchase through the eBay Global Shipping Program. Please check to see if your country is eligible, please also remember that the program does not offer combined shipping and a shipping fee is paid for each item. For additional information see the eBay Global Shipping Program Buyer Terms & Conditions. Also, if you change your mind and decide the shipping cost is more than what you'd like to pay, please let me know via eBay messages and we can cancel the transaction. I try to be flexible in these matters.

HERE'S SOME TIPS FOR COMBINED SHIPPING CHECKOUT:
- Do not use the eBay shopping cart.
- Click the Buy it Now button for all items that you wish to purchase.
- When finished shopping, click the button to ask for an updated invoice or message me directly to get an updated invoice.
***In the event that multiple shipping fees are paid, I am perfectly happy to reimburse any additional fees, this will usually be handled through Paypal. I have no desire to charge multiple shipping fees when I will be sending the items together. If you do prefer to have items sent separately, or if you have any questions please ask via eBay messages***
***If you purchase multiple items on different days, please keep in mind that it's quite possible the first package was already dispatched and another package will need to be sent, in this instance I will be keeping both shipping fees.***
***PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST TO HAVE THE ITEM SENT TO AN ADDRESS DIFFERENT FROM WHAT IS LISTED IN YOUR EBAY AND PAYPAL ACCOUNTS*** I will send the item only to the address that was listed in the transaction. The reason why; if I don't send the item to the provided address my seller protections immediately vanish. A message from the buyer requesting an alternate address is not sufficient enough to maintain those protections. Please message me for any questions, if there's any issues, I'm sure we can work it out.
3. REFUNDS
Please read the item description before bidding. Refunds or reimbursements will not be made for any of the items features that were stated in the description, or clearly visible in the photos. We try our hardest and believe we are fair and honest with our grading, but we're all human and mistakes or oversights can happen so in these instances we try to be flexible. If you feel the product received does not meet the stated item description, please contact me via eBay messages within 7 days of receiving. We will explore the options and I'm sure we can work something out, if a refund is necessary it can be arranged. Refunds will be made only after return shipment to, and re-inspection by the seller. We are not financially responsible for mishandling of parcels by the postal service.
4. PACKAGING
***Records will be shipped outside of the jacket in order to avoid seam splits. If a record is still sealed it will be shipped to you as is - please send me a message if you'd like me to break the seal and remove it from the jacket***
The cost that you pay for shipping will most often be rounded up, the additional funds are what is used to buy packaging materials such as: mailers, boxes, padded envelopes, bubble wrap, cardboard stiffeners or tape. These items are necessary to ensure a safe delivery, I package my items with tender loving care and my techniques have been very successful with hundreds of happy customers. If you have specific questions or requests for packaging please let me know via eBay messages. At times a buyer might have a request that I feel is a bit excessive or unnecessary, if we cannot reach an agreement then the transaction may be canceled.
5. CLEANING RECORDS
If it's plain to see that a record needs cleaned, I will clean it. I believe in finding out the maximum potential of what the wax has to offer, I have a method I've used for years that truly works wonders. I spray the record with a cleaning solution that's made up of rubbing alcohol, dish soap (free & clear), and water. I then rinse the record off using my own method that keeps the water off of the label, if any drops still find their way they are wiped off immediately. The record is then air dried.
6. GRADING DESCRIPTIONS
Guidelines for record grading / condition of used records (based on Goldmine Grading for Records)
MINT (M): Perfect! This record looks like it has just left the manufacturer, with NO flaws what so ever. It looks as though it had never been handled. No scuffs or scratches, blotches or stains. No stickers or writing address labels. COVER: No writing, no tears or seam splits. No wear to the cover or record period! Age of the record has nothing to do with it.
NEAR MINT or (NM), (M-): RECORD: Record appears virtually flawless. A very minor scuff and very little else appears on the vinyl. It should play without any noise over the flaw. The flaw is very hard to see. COVER: The cover looks as close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and or age. Minor impressions to the cover (due to the outer edge of the vinyl resting inside) may be acceptable, however the artwork is as close to perfect as can be.
(VG++), EXCELLENT or (EX): RECORD: Will have minor scuffs which are only slightly visible. There may be more than a few scuffs and NO scratches. COVER: Artwork is still as close to perfect as can be. Some impression to the cover (minor outer ring wear) but no ink wear! Some slight creases to the corners, but not wrinkled and obtrusive to the eye. The corners can show white (where the artwork pasted slick was) meaning, slight wear. No seam splits, writing on the cover or taped repairs.
VERY GOOD PLUS or (VG+): RECORD: A VG+ record shows some wear and surface scuffs. The vinyl still has a great luster, but the flaws will be noticeable to the naked eye. Visible flaws don't cause too much surface noise. COVER: A virtually clean cover, but may have small writing on it. The artwork looks clean with slightly more aging. Flat white paper will be somewhat yellow, but no large stains or mildew from water damage. Some minor wear to the seams or spine, but no significant tears or holes popping through. The corners will be slightly dog eared, but no crackly bends, defacing the artwork.
VERY GOOD or (VG): RECORD: A record that is good enough. They are not really going to look very good, but will PLAY very good. There will almost always be some surface noise when they are played. The Dynamics should still be excellent, overpowering the surface noise. A VG record will look like it has been played, but still have some luster. COVER: VG covers will look worn, used. There may be some seam splitting . There may be some ring wear, where the ink has begun to wear off, giving the cover a look of snow falling. There may be some writing on the cover, item description will address these issues. It will look aged and more yellowish due to contamination's in the air (sometimes looking like cigarette smoke), but should be decent.
GOOD or (G): RECORD: In the Record world 'GOOD' really means 'OK'. A Good record will look very well played, dull, grayish and possibly abused. However a Good record should still play. It will have distracting surface noise. Such as crackle that is continuous or some hiss. Will also have some loss of dynamics caused from grooves being worn. It should play without any skips or any obtrusively loud pops or repeated clicks, caused by deep scratches. Good means that it will play with some form of decency, so one can still enjoy the music even though you can still hear noise caused from the wear. COVER: Good cover will have just about everything wrong with it. It will have seam splits (possibly taped repaired, but only with scotch tape. No duct tape or masking tape repairs. May have magic marker writing on the cover but will not be in huge letters. In essence, the cover will looked virtually trashed, but some artwork will still be noticed.
