WONDERFUL FITH studio album from this hugely talented band - a sort of concept album too. Musically its not so full on as their early stuff, this one is more brooding and darker displaying a depth that was somehow previously missing. Of course its not light weight; the vibe is still very much hard rock but the emphasis is on songs and clever arrangements rather than bludgeon riffola. By far their most progressive album with a heavy Jethro Tull, Deep Purple and Argent influence. Great use of Hammond Organ, flute and primitive synth sounds lending a helping hand to make this one of the bands most satisfying albums. Check out brilliant tracks such as 'The Power', 'Scottsman', 'Life Blood' and the albums longest (and heaviest) cut 'Days And Nights' for proof.
Slight personnel switch on this record with original vocalist Jim Rutledge and lead guitarist Lee Pickens making way for new boy and lead new frontman Warren Ham. Ham was actually an old associate of the band having contributed songs to earlier albums and, of course, the bro' of Bill Ham, ZZ Top's future Svengali.
Highly recommended.

Cover: Only minor signs of use. Issued in a beautifully illustrated thick cardboard cover. Sharp corners (2 edges slightly dinged), no bends, barely visible ring wear on rear panel, no split seams and no creases. Spine is stiff, straight and totally uncrushed. Beautiful and impossible to find like this 51 years after release. Grades as Nr archive MINT!
