Very Rare Original 1969 UK Stereo Polydor 1st Pressing 'Blind Faith' by Blind Faith in Impossible Nr Mint 1st Press Vinyl Condition! This is the Original UK Red Label Polydor Pressing (not the common Later RSO Re-Issue) Complete With Stunning Original Non-Laminated MacNeill Gatefold 1st Issue Sleeve!!

Here is another gem from my own mostly Nr Mint personal collection (which I am selling off gradually to lessen the pain...) I have been collecting very rare vinyl for a long time now. As a collector, I have been very critical about the condition of the records I have chosen to buy over the years, and only selected the most pristine 1st pressings from all around the UK.  My collection is therefore filled with not only the rarest UK 1st pressings, but also records of the highest grade quality condition, some of the best you will probably ever come across. Sadly, all will be finding new homes over the coming months. As I said, I am very strict with my grading, so when I describe a record as Nr Mint - you can rest assured that it will be a true Nr Mint record (I never grade any records as Mint because Mint does not exist in the world of vintage vinyl - in my opinion, as soon as the record has been taken home from the store it is no longer mint!!) You are bidding on a beautiful (and very rare) original UK 1969 Polydor Red Label Pressing of this classic LP by Blind Faith, possibly the first great super-group (Clapton/Winwood/Baker). Although only short-lived, they left us with one great album and a legacy of controversy (this album cover was banned in more countries than British beef!). You will be very hard-pressed to find another rare 1st press in this condition again! IThisis the Original Red Polydor label pressing with the 'Made in England' centre label text, and very early A4//B3 Matrix - it is not the later and much more common UK RSO re-pressing; this one is the real deal. What's more, it is in impossible Nr Mint/ EX+ Condition, virtually impossible for this record! The vinyl is visually and aurally stunning and shines with that 'just pressed' look and feel that only the most treasured albums have; it retains all of its original shine and lustre and really looks as if this record came off the press yesterday!!! For some reason, UK copies of this LP have not grown old gracefully and most are usually completely wrecked, please read as to why below - This one is not, both vinyl and sleeve are the best we have seen for a very long time, this album is going to make somebody very happy indeed!  I have not come across another copy of this seminal album in this kind of condition for a long time now.  It really is a beautiful copy of this hugely influential album. You will be very hard pushed to find another UK press copy of this legendary LP in such amazing condition, don't miss it...

The vinyl itself is in absolutely pristine condition! It has No scuffing, NO groove wear, NO warping or blemishes of any kind at all!!! I have graded it as *Near Mint*,  it really is that good (please see my feedback to see I never overgrade my records)!  I am very pleased to state that this is a record that also plays as good as it looks!!! It has NO jumps, NO pops and NO hissing, just a beautiful crisp sound that only the early red label Polydor pressings of this album ever had.

The Classic Red UK Polydor Centre Labels are also in stunning *Near Mint* condition with NO Tears, NO Peeling, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind, as mentioned above, they have only very light wispy spindle lines which can only be seen when angling the record toward strong light.  The gramophone rims are also Mint!!!

The classic Bob Seideman - designed gatefold sleeve, containing the song lyrics,  is in beautiful Excellent+ condition with  NO Tears, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind!!!  It is completely blemish free! The sleeve lies perfectly FLAT with NO RING WEAR and a good strong spine, with mint legible text!  Another special thing about this sleeve is its very limited edge wear. These 1st press gatefold sleeves had no edge protection, i.e. they were no folded over, so the edge of the card was left exposed. As you can imagine this let to severe deterioration of the edges, making the album look very tatty and feathered, this can be seen on almost all of the copies of 'Blind Faith' that come up for sale today, I have only had the privilege of ever grading 1 or 2 of these original Polydor sleeves as Excellent in the past, most have fallen way below due (in part) to the severe edge wear. This has been avoided for the most part on this particular album because the record has been housed in a tough outer PVC sleeve for a very long time. The LP comes with its Original Polydor 'Made in England' poly-lined windowed inner sleeve, which is crisp flat, crease-free and also Nr Mint! I have no seen an original UK Polydor Red Label pressing this good in years, so don't let it get away because once it's gone it's gone!

We will always leave feedback upon receipt of feedback.
